Asphalt Paving Handbook

This version of the Asphalt Paving Handbook, originally published in March 2025, provides comprehensive technical information and best practices related to the paving of asphalt mixtures for roadway and airfield projects. It focuses on practical aspects that have the greatest effect on the quality and long-term performance of the finished pavement.

The Handbook was updated in October 2025 to include links to 30 videos highlighting key topics. Filmed at active US airfield projects, these 3- to 5-minute videos demonstrate best practices in the field and feature perspectives from industry professionals. Featured throughout the updated Handbook, a complete list of video links is also provided in the Appendix.
